Longs Peak Cabin has been a favorite vacation home for many families over the years. The wall of windows enclosing the front porch frames the spectactular mountain vistas and wildlife viewing. The side patio welcomes you to relax, dawn to dusk. This cabin is located near the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. If you walk across the road to the Rocky Mountain National Park Visitor's Center you can catch the shuttle into the national park or downtown Estes Park. Don't drive, just relax!
This wonderful family friendly vacation cabin offers space for everyone. The living room features a woodburning fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating. The kitchen is well equipped so you can prepare hearty meals after a day of outdoor activities. Both bathrooms were updated in 2013. The four bedrooms provide plenty of sleeping space for everyone. There is a full bed and twin bed in the first bedroom and a full bed in the second bedroom. The third and fourth bedrooms each have two twin beds. There is a daybed in the sunporch for the extra guest.

Beautiful views of Longs PeakThis was our first visit to Longs Peak Cabin. We were delighted the minute we walked in. There are 3 bedrooms/1 bath upstairs that worked out great for our daughter and her family. My husband and I stayed downstairs in the master bedroom with bath. The sunroom was great for the kids and had a beautiful view of the sun hitting Longs Peak each morning. Neighbors were nice. The house overlooks the entrance to RMNP and was quiet. There were plenty of linens. Loved the chipmunks. Fireplace was added bonus. Drawbacks were pillows needed to be replaced as they were flat and old. A bear was rummaging around one night, so keep the shared dumpster locked up. We were there for a week, so a washer/dryer would have been great. The dishwasher was a pain to use. But overall, this was a warm, cozy cabin and one my family wants to return to. Great location and rental agency was quick with help. We will be back!

Homey, comfortable, spacious property with beautiful view of Longs Peak from a large glassed in porcWe have rented properties in the high drive area for the last 20 years. Most of the vacation rentals we have stayed in are older, much loved, cared for homes. The Longs Peak Cabin fits this description. The shower in the bathroom downstairs is a little quirky and might be difficult for a large or tall person to use but there is a modern bathroom upstairs. Over the years we have come to expect a little quirkiness in these older vacation homes and adapt quickly considering it part of their charm. This is a perfect house for large families. The upstairs has 3 nice size bedrooms and full bath that close off from the downstairs. The kitchen is large, with space to accommodate several cooks. There are very few road markers and we had trouble finding it at night. Be prepared for dirt roads with potholes. Also bring extra towels and washcloths if you are staying more than a couple of nights.

Comfy and gorgeous views!I have stayed at this property many times and have always thoroughly enjoyed myself! The house is spacious and quiet, kitchen fully equipped, wood-burning fireplace, comfy beds, minutes from Rmnp, and the best view in town. Can't wait to go back!

Amazing view of Long's Peak! The Long's Peak Cabin was exactly as we saw online but the little "extras" were great! Books to read, Dvds, many areas to sit and relax with family, plenty of towels if needed, dishes, cookware etc. All mechanicals in great working order! You pay so much for expensive resorts that have nothing like this. However, what is a mountain view that amazes you every morning worth? Priceless! Estes park was a 5 minute drive into town or catch the shuttle every hour to anywhere you may want to go---all free! We had a family reunion at the nearby Ymca and had no down time with all the activities available! My kids can't stop talking about Estes, hiking, shopping, food, and of course the wildlife that may appear--yes a bear or an elk may cross your path!

Lovely experienceLong's Peak Cabin was fantastic overall. The cabin is roomy and has a lot of character. The front porch in particular is wonderful, with wood floors, games for the kids, lots of seating, and a panoramic view of Long's Peak. The cabin is located ideally as well. The only thing that keeps us from giving it 5 stars is that it has some of the quirkiness associated with an old cabin. The downstairs bath has only a lace hanging in front of the window and the shower is directly in front of it, which meant attaching a towel to the window for every evening shower. Downstairs bathroom space in general is very cramped. Overall the cabin is charming, but a few updates such as new carpet upstairs (which appears to be at least 30 yrs old), new towels, and maybe some new linens could cut down on the musty smell and make it even more lovely. All in all, though, we would definitely come back again and were delighted with our choice.

Fantastic view!Longs Peak cabin is the perfect family destination! Not only did we see a fantastic view of Longs Peak but we also saw badgers, hummingbirds, elk and even a late night visit from a bear! The cabin was comfortable and accommodated our family of eight exceptionally well. We would not hesitate to return.

A great family environment! We enjoyed our time at Long's Peak Cabin very much! The porch was everyone's favorite room; the views, conversation areas, and the games made it the place to be. We plan to come back next year.

Long's Peak cabin was the perfect place for reunion of family, "The cabin is aptly named as it would be hard to find a better view of Long's Peak and its sister mountains. It was clean and omfortable and a true mountain cabin (5 or was it 8 generations of being owned by one family, we read). We enjoyed fixing meals together in a well equipped kitchen, sitting around the good sized table catching up with each other and deciding what we'd explore the next day, sleeping well, and having such convenient access to the Park. Watching chipmunks, golden mantled ground squirrels, deer, and the darting humming birds plus the many other varieties of birds provided better entertainment than the TV, though we did watch some of the Olympic events. Truly a wonderful week! A word from our cars: If they could speak, they would implore you to deal with the condition of the driveway on behalf of all those who will follow us. It's a rough ride! Re rental personality: We came here because of the memories some of us have from past years and to be in the National Park. I'd recommend it to most anyone who's not looking for luxurious quarters and can handle the altitude.

PerfectionBull elk, Long's Peak, fly fishing, horseback riding, and fresh mountain air equals relaxation at its finest. We found this and so much more during our stay at Long's Peak cabin near Rocky Mountain National Park. This well equipped cabin sits across from the visitor center just outside Rmnp and only a short mile or two from Estes Park. What a way to vacation!

Perfect view of Long's Peak! Our stay was very nice. The kitchen had everything we needed. The glass window porch was by far our most favorite thing about the cabin. It would have been nice to have had nicer bathrooms. We had a little trouble with the septic system, but Range Prop sent a plumber very quickly and all was fixed. The double bed upstairs was not all that comfortable for my husband and me, but the double bed downstairs was just fine. Overall our stay was lots of fun, and the house suited our needs.

Great location/sceneryPros: We all loved the cabin and its location. There was enough room for 6 adults and 3 kids and under the age of 6. It was well equipped and everything worked fine. We especially enjoyed the patio, grill and the sun room. Cons: The cabin was dated and had only one shower. An upstairs shower would have been nice

Enjoyed every minute! We have traveled to Estes numerous times over the years and have stayed in different places. This being our 40th anniversary, I wanted it to be special. I got my wish! We love this cabin! Staying at Longs Peak Cabin has rekindled my desire to retire in Estes Park. Longs Peak Cabin has the rustic charm, modern convience and views I am always looking for. We shall return!

This is what makes Estes Park a unique experience. When I come to Estes Park, I don't want to stay in a condo or modern hotel. Rather, I want to experience the history of the RMN Park area. Longs Peak Cabin is a jewel among the early/mid century historic family cabins that line the park boundary. It's simple and homey and exudes the warmth of an intergenerational family cabin. If you want luxury don't come here, but if you want old wooden windows with original hardware and lots of knotty pine, this is your place. I wish they would fix the needle on the old record player, because if we could have played a Longine Symphonette record, it would have really rounded out the experience. The beds are cozy and the sun porch provides an amazing view of longs peak and the grazing elk herds. The upstairs bathroom needs a working light, and cleaning the LR sofa and rug would add to the comfort. We will be back next September.

Best view and location for all your park activitieswe had a wonderful time in the Long's Peak Cabin, Plenty of space for 3 to 4 couples. Lots of room to roam. We especially liked the bird feeders and bird baths. Elk, deer, rabbits, chipmunks and all types of birds met us every morning on the front lawn. Viewing wildlife was as easy as looking out the numerous windows of the front sitting room. This cabin has the best view of Long's Peak and is conveniently located next to the park entrance giving you quick access to your favorite hiking trails. We can't wait to come back.
